The Breckinridge County Sheriff’s Department has released a description of the suspect involved in Monday’s incident. He’s believed to be a male with a stocky build, wearing a red sweatshirt or hoodie, was possibly barefoot or wearing only socks (boots were recovered at the scene). It’s believed the suspect may have been picked up along Freedom Church Road. Anyone with information on the suspect is urged to call the Breckinridge County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities say the driver of the car that was struck head-on, Joshua Robbins, was airlifted to University of Louisville Hospital, where he was treated and being released.
The Sheriff’s Office reminds residents to lock their vehicles and securing any objects inside them, noting the stolen truck had keys still inside vehicle at the time of the theft.

As officers were checking the other driver, the pickup driver rolled down a window, jumped out of the vehicle and fled on foot. The car’s driver was airlifted for treatment of injuries.
